Stephanie Greenwood

Stephanie Greenwood is the editor of 10 Excellent Reasons Not to Hate Taxes (The New Press). She works as the City of Newark’s Sustainability Director, managing initiatives that advance economic, social, and environmental health in Newark’s neighborhoods. She was lead author of Newark’s Sustainability Action Plan (www.sustainablenwk.org) and directs the Plan’s implementation. From 2007 to 2010, Greenwood coordinated the city’s foreclosure prevention efforts, facilitating the Newark/Essex Foreclosure Taskforce and managing efforts to buy and repair foreclosed and abandoned homes through the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program. She holds a masters in public affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. She lives in Newark’s East Ward.
