Matthew Carr

Matthew Carr is a writer, broadcaster, and journalist who has reported on a number of violent conflicts. He is the author of several critically acclaimed works of nonfiction, including Blood and Faith: The Purging of Muslim Spain, Fortress Europe: Dispatches from a Gated Continent, The Infernal Machine: A History of Terrorism, and Sherman’s Ghosts: Soldiers, Civilians, and the American Way of War (all published by The New Press), as well as the acclaimed memoir My Father’s House. Carr lives in England.
