The Sentencing Project and the Pennsylvania Prison Society are pleased invite you to a timely book discussion around reforming life sentences.
The Sentencing Project's Senior Research Analyst, Ashley Nellis, will discuss The Meaning of Life: The Case for Abolishing Life Sentences (The New Press), authored by Nellis and Marc Mauer, Executive Director of The Sentencing Project. Comments will be followed by a community discussion led by Claire Shubik-Richards, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Prison Society.
Uncle Bobbie's Coffee & Books will be selling copies of The Meaning of Life and attendees will have the chance to get their copies signed by Ashley Nellis following the community discussion. Guests will also enjoy complimentary drinks from Yards Brewing Company.
