Join the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA) on Friday, March 16, for an event celebrating Peter Edelman’s newest work, Not a Crime to Be Poor: The Criminalization of Poverty in America, at the New York Public Library.
This event will include a discussion focusing on how poverty has been criminalized in the operations of many public systems, and how lawyers, activists, and policy makers are working for a more humane approach.
Light refreshments will be served.
