Please join David Deschamps and  Bennett Singer  to celebrate the launch of LGBTQ Stats: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer People by the Numbers. This “astounding handbook” (Booklist, starred review) chronicles the ongoing LGBTQ revolution, presenting more than 1,000 facts and figures about LGBTQ people at home, at work, at school, and at play.

Professor M.V. Lee Badgett calls the book “the most comprehensive portraitof LGBTQ people around,” while activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Mandy Carterdescribes it as “essential reading for everyone committed to social justice.”Deschamps and Singer will discuss how this book differs from the first edition, published in 1994; the event will also feature an interactive quiz highlighting the most eye-opening statsthat the authors unearthed during the year they spent researching this project. As the “post-factual” Trump regime takes power and threatens to roll back Obama-era progresson LGBTQ rights, it is more critical than ever to document the facts about the lives and experiencesof LGBTQ Americans.

We hope you can join us!
