Joshua Steckel, co-author of Hold Fast to Dreams, and several of his former students will discuss his book and the challenges that face low-income high school students transitioning to college. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 and the program starts promptly at 9:00. It will also include a research presentation by Vanessa Coca from the Research Alliance and a panel of practioners working in college success. The event is titled "Working Towards College Success: Obstacles and Strategies."
