UChicago Arts presents a three-day festival showcasing activists, artists, journalists, scholars, and many others who have been influenced and inspired by Studs Terkel’s storied career as a broadcaster, historian, actor, and Pulitzer Prize–winning author.

Explore the life and legacy of the Chicago legend through screenings, concerts, talks, art installations, storytelling, oral histories, performances, and soapbox debates at the University of Chicago’s Logan Center for the Arts.

The Opening Festival Reception will feature a special tribute to the late André Schiffrin—New Press founding director and Terkel’s publisher—by New Press publisher Ellen Adler and Studs Terkel’s longtime collaborator Sydney Lewis.
