Join the New Press and the NYU Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law for the 25th annual Derrick Bell Lecture on Race in American Society. We are pleased to launch Carving out a Humanity: Race, Rights, and Redemption, a powerful collection of lectures delivered at the Derrick Bell Lecture series, edited by award-winning broadcaster and activist Janet Dewart Bell. 

Jasmine Gonzales Rose, Professor of Law at Boston University School of Law and Associate Director for Policy at the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research will present her virtual lecture titled, "Race, Evidence, and Police Violence: Seeking 2020 Vision."
