Matthew Jesse Jackson is an associate professor of visual arts and art history at the University of Chicago. He is a co-author, with Robert Bird, Christopher P. Heuer, Tumelo Mosaka, and Stephanie Smith, of Vision and Communism: Viktor Koretsky and Dissident Public Visual Culture (The New Press) and the author of The Experimental Group: Ilya Kabakov, Moscow Conceptualism, Soviet Avant-Gardes. He lives in Chicago, Illinois.
