Eva Perón

Eva Perón (1919–1952) was the wife of Juan Perón, three-term president of Argentina. She used her position as first lady to fight for women’s suffrage and improve the lives of the poor and became a legendary figure in Argentine politics. She is the author of Evita: In My Own Words (The New Press).
