He was the founding editor of onthecommons.org and co-founder of Public Knowledge and is the author of numerous highly praised books, including Brand Name Bullies, Silent Theft, and Viral Spiral: How the Commoners Built a Digital Republic of Their Own (The New Press). He lives in Amherst, Massachusetts.
