Patricia Aufderheide

Patricia Aufderheide is a professor in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C., and the co-director of the Center for Media & Social Impact. She is a co-author of Conglomerates and the Media, published by The New Press. Aufderheide is also the co-author with Peter Jaszi of Reclaiming Fair Use: How to Put Balance Back in Copyright and the author of, among others, Documentary Film: A Very Short Introduction, The Daily Planet, and Communications Policy and the Public Interest. Aufderheide serves on the editorial boards of a variety of publications, including Communication Law and Policy and In These Times.
