James Ridgeway

James Ridgeway has been an investigative journalist for more than fifty years and is the author of seventeen previous books. He is a co-director of Solitary Watch and a Soros Justice Fellow and is a co-editor, with Jean Casella and Sarah Shourd, of Hell Is a Very Small Place: Voices from Solitary Confinement (The New Press). He lives in Washington, D.C.
