Harry Kreisler was the executive director of the Institute of International Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1974 to 2014. He is the creator, executive producer, and host of Conversations with History, which includes 580 one-hour video conversations with distinguished men and women from all over the world focusing on the ideas that matter to them. Kreisler is the author of Political Awakenings: Conversations with History (The New Press). He lives in Berkeley, California.
