Eamon Kircher-Allen has reported on music, politics, and the economy from several countries in Africa and the Middle East. From 2005 to 2006, he lived in Syria, where he studied Arabic and worked for the United Nations. He is a co-editor, with Anya Schiffrin, of From Cairo to Wall Street: Voices from the Global Spring (The New Press). A San Francisco native, he currently lives in New York City.
