Maxine Greene

Maxine Greene (1917–2014) was the founder and director of the Maxine Greene Center for Aesthetic Education and Social Imagination at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the author of many books, including Teacher As Stranger, The Dialectic of Freedom, and the 1965 classic The Public School and the Private Vision.
